Week 3

Hey everyone! So this week I had a really awesome spiritual experience I just have to share. So me and my companion had an awesome opportunity to teach an actual investigators and the teachers said it was really rare but they put their trust in us. We taught a teenager name, Jorge, he told us his father passed away a week before we met with him. He was really sad because he thought he would never see his father again. But what’s crazy is that he told us he can see his father in his dreams and his father told him about men in white teaching him the gospel. As he told us this story I was overcome by the strongest spirit I have ever felt. I was trying to put some sentences together in spanish when all of a sudden words just started flowing from me. At that moment I had no idea what I was saying but I knew what I felt and I knew what that young man felt. He was in tears and my companion was shocked at what I was saying. The lesson ended up going super well and I asked my companion if he knew what I said and apparently I was talking about how proud his father was and how happy he was and how he’s in a better place and he doesn’t have anymore pain. I still can’t believe I said those things but I feel truly blessed to have been able to communicate the message to him. Also this week it was raining a lot and I ran in the acid rain puddles and I got soaked. The puddles went up above my ankles so it was nutz. Also on sunday a bunch of latinos from outside the wall lit off some huge fireworks so that was really cool. And then later that night a bunch of them were shooting each other. The one thing that’s still so annoying is that the latinos are shooting off guns and fireworks all night and all throughout the day. They party 24/7.
